This beautiful medium-bodied wine by Daniele Ricci is from the Croatina grape, which is the same grape you can find in the Valpolicella blend or in Amarone. This style is completely different than in Verona though: pure, ripe, full and yet elegant. Earthy and robust with black fruits like blackberries, plum and cherries with outspoken acidity. Aged for 12 months in wooden acacia barrels. A natural wine that is not necessarily identified as one.
